Slojourn Studio SEEZs the Depth and Diversity of Greece

Luxury travel communications agency, Slojourn Studio, together with its boutique Greece-based destination management partner SEEZ Travel, has successfully wrapped up its inaugural luxury Greece advisor famil. This immersive trade journey was designed to challenge the one-dimensional ‘Greek Islands’ narrative and give leading Australian travel advisors a deeper understanding of the country’s increasingly nuanced luxury landscapes.

Bringing together senior advisors from boutique Australian travel agencies, WOW Travel, Solis Travel, Travel Project and The Travel Notebook, the multi-stop itinerary moved through Athens, Paros, Antiparos, Folegandros, Santorini and Crete, offering firsthand insight into the vastly different personalities, logistics, pacing and traveller appeal of each destination.

Hosted and curated by SEEZ Travel’s in-destination team, the educational journey combined luxury accommodation, immersive cultural experiences, local artisan encounters, culinary touring and island-hopping logistics. The itinerary was designed to give advisors practical, on-the-ground understanding that cannot be replicated through brochures or online research alone.

Accommodation experiences and site inspections included a mix of Slojourn Studio’s Greek resort partners – ANDRONIS Minois, ANDRONIS Arcadia, ANDRONIS Wellness Concept Resort – alongside a broader collection of some of the country’s most celebrated high-end properties such as Xenodocheio Milos, A77 Suites, The Dolli, Perianth Hotel, Parilio, Cosme, Canaves Oia Suites, and Minos Beach Art Hotel.

Experiences also intentionally moved beyond the hotel experience itself, incorporating pottery workshops with local artisans in Antiparos, guided food tours through Athens, wine tastings in Santorini, coastal boat experiences in Folegandros and hands-on Minoan tile-making workshops in Crete – highlighting the importance of cultural immersion and local connection in contemporary luxury travel.

A defining takeaway from the famil was the realisation that luxury in Greece is far from one-size-fits-all. Each island presented a completely different rhythm, identity and style of travel - from the barefoot, slow-living appeal of Folegandros to the polished glamour of Santorini and the layered cultural depth of Crete and Athens.

The experience reinforced the growing importance of trusted, on-the-ground expertise in a destination where timing, island combinations, transport logistics and accommodation style can dramatically shape the overall traveller experience.

“Greece is an incredibly layered destination, and luxury here is highly scalable,” said Slojourn Studio Sales Director, Fiona Cogar. “Two properties may sit within the same category on paper, but deliver completely different experiences depending on the island, the pace, the style of service and the type of traveller they’re suited to.

“What this famil highlighted so clearly is that no two Greek islands or hotels are alike. Understanding those subtle differences and knowing how to match the right client to the right property and destination is where experienced advisors and deeply connected DMC partnerships become invaluable.”

SEEZ Travel brings an insider’s depth of knowledge to Greece, underpinned by strong local fluency, relationships and hands-on experience across the islands, enabling more considered itineraries and smoother inter-island travel. With extensive on-the-ground expertise and access, SEEZ functions as a true in-destination partner for advisors navigating one of the world’s fastest-evolving luxury travel markets.

Through the collaboration between Slojourn Studio and SEEZ Travel, advisors returned to Australia with not only elevated product knowledge, but a more sophisticated understanding of how deeply varied Greece’s luxury offering truly is, enabling them to craft journeys that feel intuitive, highly personalised and reflective of each island’s individual character.

Other Australian advisors interested in navigating the nuances of Greece with trusted, on-the-ground experts are encouraged to connect with Fiona Cogar and the Slojourn Studio sales team to learn more about SEEZ Travel’s bespoke in-destination services, luxury partner portfolio and future trade education opportunities.
