THE MYSA MOTEL
AUSTRALIA
THE VIBE
The Mysa Motel (pronounced Mee-sa) is lauded for its visceral 1960’s aesthetic, however, there’s more to this Gold Coast motel than vintage vibes: it is a study in local architecture and utilitarian design. And it’s planet friendly!
Previously known as the Palm Trees Motel, the recently-renovated Mysa Motel tunes into the authentic voice of its hometown through the engagement of local craftspeople, artists and builders, and pays homage to its heritage through its original façade and the use of locally-sourced, pre-loved materials.
The Mysa Motel blends the old-school motel mentality with modern touches. Here you’ll find retro sun-loungers, upcycled furniture, and breezeblocks sitting pretty next to practical amenities such as blockout blinds, usb charging points, smart TVs and silent fridges and contemporary, custom-made cabinetry.
INCOMPARAbLY MYSA
Each of the motel’s seven rooms tells a unique story and provides a unique stay for guests - they’re different colours and named according to the shade of paint used.
The motel is entirely self-serviced, which means upon booking, guests receive a unique code that grants them access to the property via keypad.
Once they’re in, guests will marvel at the Mysa Splash Club: the motel’s aesthetically-astounding outdoor area, which features an iconic neon sign and kidney-shaped magnesium pool, which promises rejuvenating powers!
